تعدد أبعاد الفقر يوسّع رقعة الفقراء: ثلاثة أرباع اللبنانيين يعانون الحرمان

أفرد البنك الدولي في تقريره الأخير حول الفقر في لبنان، فصلاً كاملاً للحديث عن «الفقر المتعدّد الأبعاد»، وذكر في مقدمته أنّه لو استخدمت معايير الأبعاد المتعددة في قياس الفقر، لوصلت نسبة الفقراء بين المقيمين في لبنان إلى 78.8% عام 2023 بدلاً من نسبة 44% المحدّدة وفقاً لخطّ الفقر المالي والمحدّد باستهلاك الفرد بقيمة 2.9 دولار يومياً. وإذا طبق هذا المعيار على اللبنانيين فقط فستنخفض نسبة الفقر إلى 73.1%، فيما يختبر المقيمون من غير اللبنانيين مثل السوريين والفلسطينيين والمهاجرين من جنسيات أخرى، درجات أعلى من الحرمان لدرجة أنّ حصتهم من الفقر المتعدد الأبعاد وصلت إلى 100%، أي إنّ كلّهم فقراء.92% من السكان في محافظة عكار يعانون من الحرمان، أو الفقر المتعدد الأبعاد، فيما وصلت النسبة نفسها في البقاع إلى 82%، بينما لم تتخط نسبة الفقر المتعدد الأبعاد في بيروت 51%إذاً لا يقاس الفقر فقط بالمدخول المالي للفرد أو للأسرة، بل «هناك مجموعة أبعاد غير مالية تستخدم لمعرفة مدى تعمّق الفقر في المجتمع»، بحسب ما جاء في تقرير
