Wealthy Australians have taken on more risk in their portfolios as interest rates have stabilised, and they are reaping handsome returns of as much as 12 per cent, a comprehensive survey of the nation’s 690,000 richest investors shows.

Bullish asset prices for both property and shares helped propel about 46,000 people into the “emerging affluent” category, according to Investment Trends’ 2024 report on high net worth investors.
