Biden-Xi call yielded nothing new, but that could be good news

WASHINGTON - On the face of it, there was nothing new from the two-and-a-half hour call between United States President Joe Biden and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, with both essentially restating well-known positions on sensitive issues.

But given the toxic nature of the current US-China relationship, that could be good news.
